I’m starting again with this task of writing a blog, that I always seem to forget about. I moved to Madrid 3 months ago, with my wife and our 2 dogs, to start working at Amazon and to travel as much as we can.

As it happened 2 years ago with my previous “start over with the blog” after I found Hexo, now I found a new tool called Hugo. At first I was not convinced to switch, but this framework very easy to use and to undestand that I don’t have the need to dive into the code and try to see what it’s doing, I can focus on writing.

I have to say that Hexo is really cool, but from time to time I had to go back to the documentation and start thinking about the commands, and the code and the structure wasn’t as organized as I would like it to be. When I tried Hugo, it was easy to get started, the folders were organized in a very logical way, and it was extreamly fast to start up in development mode and also to generate the static site.

I also wanted to start writing in English, because it’s easy to get feedback from others, and also to share. Besides, it will improve my english skills, which by the way I have to use daily at work. So it is rare that exactly by this days but 2 years ago I was starting to write again and then I stopped, but now I have some new ideas to put here, I’m excited again to write, and even though is just another getting started, I hope this time is the last one!
